About

Meet D.D.

D.D. & her husband Trevor, are parents to 8 incredible children, the blessing of which, D.D. shares, "allows us continual opportunities to learn, to grow... & to make lots of mistakes! All of which, I am so, so very, grateful for."

However, there were times, as she shares, that she did not see, did not know, did not understand, & thus did not feel, this way...

"Over the years, I became increasingly aware I was "out of my league", or maybe, "in over my head", would be a better way of wording this. For that is truly how it felt. I clearly needed more than what I had, to even just stay afloat, never mind to do what was required of me, in a way I know I committed to, when I chose to become a mom.

The more children we had, the more painfully aware I became of this fact. But, I had no clue about how to change this! I just knew I wanted so much just to be able to love my children. I so wanted to be a good mom. And yet, I clearly didn't know how to take this beautiful desire & love in my heart, & equate it into indicative actions, when faced with all that we come "up against" in the day to day life experiences & interactions, these opportunities, that we are given everyday here. My days were filled with, & constantly ended in, frustration, anxiety & emotional overwhelm. I know their little lives were filled with the same", she shares, regretfully.

"There was a time when I wanted & seriously contemplated, putting out a "New Mom NEEDED" ad. (As if this were possible!) They so deserved better than what I obviously could give them. I knew this. My heart ached to be this.

The good news is, I didn't put out the ad. Even better news, by the grace of God (literally), I didn't give up. Well, not what I need not "give up", anyway."

Holding to this love & desiring, with all her heart, to be this kind of mom - the kind of mom that could equated this love into her actions, words & other communications, even - maybe even especially - when it was "hard"; she kept seeking, asking, learning, stumbling, falling, getting back up & doing this again & again & again.

In time, & after studying, utilizing & still struggling to see any real positive effects or results from (as she words it),  "all of the best parenting resources & support out there!", she "just so happened" to come across one day something called "Teaching Self-Government". She & her husband have been provided, through this resource, a great blessing; to learn (& continue to everyday!) some of those key things they were missing, that they both needed to be the parents they each desired in their hearts to be. In that, they now share what has & continues to bless their family in ways D.D. use to only believe or hope were possible. Now, she knows it is.

"We are so, so very grateful, to be able to share what has blessed our lives with other families, as we continue to learn & grow. We do not teach the Teaching Self-Government skills & share what we do, because we "have it down pat". Heaven knows this is not the case!

We simply teach these skills & share these things because we want so much to share the gifts we've been given. We want to help other families to be free & live much fuller lives of true joy, as they likewise learn, live & grow daily in learning & living truth for themselves. What a gift this all truly is."

As was right for D.D., she continued (& continues) her education, as she sought to help her own family with health challenges they were experiencing.  This led to her pursuing Foot Zone training through three of the best Foot Zoning schools available, certification completion & becoming an instructor for two of these schools.

D.D.'s love & gratitude for the gift of life, nature & the awe-inspiring beauty of how it all works, inspires her love for what Foot Zoning is, & the great privilege she has in also sharing this resource with others - whether one comes seeking support for their own health & wellness, or for that of another as a caregiver.

Whether it be through helping other courageous parents seeking change, by learning & teaching self-government in their own homes, or teaching others to bless & help their own family, or an others, as a "foot zoner", D.D. cherishes this privilege in helping support others in learning & living the gift of our greatest roles - those within the walls of our own homes, & beyond.

"Learning, living & loving the gift."

It absolutely is time.

May God bless & strengthen you & yours in this grand adventure!
